Smooth legs, glossy hair, radiant skin & bright eyes is what every girl wants but beauty really starts from within. What you put into your body is a reflection of what it looks like on the outside. Probably the most important factor that is sometimes forgotten is everything we put ON our skin should be something we wouldn’t mind eating also. Our skin absorbs what we put on it , straight into our bloodstream so, choosing cosmetic products with heavy chemicals is actually toxic for our bodies. This leads to all sorts of health issues, allergies & body concerns, cellulite being an example.

Toxins come from many places/products and their ingredients go deep into the skin. This can include makeup, body creams, perfumes even baby & pregnancy products. Cosmetics companies are not required to test ingredients for purity so, its important to choose products with a low – fair toxicity for your bod. Making slight adjustments can really make a huge difference to how you feel and how you look.  SKIN DEEP .com – Is a goodwebsite to look at products you currently buy  and rates their toxicity. It covers a large amount of brands on the market and gives a rating of 0 – 10 for all their products (10 being the most toxic)

This is by far my desert Island super product !!  Does everything, goes everywhere, treats anything!

All saturated fats are not created equal.  Most can be very bad for you but Coconut oil is the one fat which your body craves to fight infection and maintain a healthy weight. Coconut oil contains essential good Fatty acids (MCFA) which help in stripping off excess weight around hard to shift areas like your lower tummy. Normal, healthy fat cells allow the skin above them to lay smooth, so you have a  healthy circulation and minimal toxins. When toxins are added the cells become uneven causing the bumpy appearance of cellulite on the outside of the skin. So the best way to oust cellulite is drink 1 litre a day of water, dry brush  followed by moisturising with just coconut oil & take up to 3 tablespoons of Coconut oil in your diet to speed up your metabolism and convert fat into energy.
LCFA’s (Long Chain Fatty Acids) – FOUND IN VEGETABLE & SEED OILS
MCFA’ s (Medium Chain Fatty Acids) – FOUND IN COCONUT OIL
  • LCFAs are predominantly stored in your body as fat.
  • MCFAs are sent directly to your liver, where they are converted into energy rather than being stored as fat.
  • MCFAs actually help stimulate your body’s metabolism, leading to weight loss

The Secret Miracle ingredient is Lauric Acid, a Non toxic, medium-chain fatty acid found mainly in coconut oil. Lauric Acid health benefits are because it is an antioxidant, antibacterial  and calming property. Pure coconut oil contains about 50 percent lauric acid, and is the most  natural source of Lauric acid available in the world.  Your body converts this lauric acid into monolaurin, which creates the anti-viral, anti-bacterial, and anti-protozoa benefits.

Salons do a treatment called Hair Glossing. I use to get one every couple of months just to create that mirror, honey blonde, shine but when I tried a coconut oil mask instead, the salon treatments didn’t even compare! ( plus they are loaded with chemicals!) Coconut oil is one of the best natural nutrients for healthy hair. It helps it grow faster, keeps it shiny, thick and silky.  It is effective in reducing the protein loss for damaged and coloured hair and locks in moisture without all the chemicals. I would definitely recommend this after you have just had your hair coloured.
♡ Coconut oil comes in a glass jar and is solid at room temperature.
♡Place the jar in warm water, this will instantly turn the oil from solid to liquid.
Before Shampooing, take a small handful of oil once it has melted and cover hair ( focusing on the ends)
 ♡Leave for 15 – 20 minutes, then shampoo out twice/condition/style as usual.
♡Use this once a week and alternate between the Honey Hair Mask. This will give you super thick, strong and glossy locks, even for bleached & coloured long hair!

BEACH BABE: Coconut oil is a natural sunscreen for your hair, it blocks about 20% of UV rays. Put some oil in a spray bottle and take to the beach, spritz it in every couple of hours. After a day at the beach my hair is really soft when I wash it in the evening.

SKIN GLOW: Coconut oil is filled with antioxidants which improves texture, tone, smoothness & ageing of the skin. Work Coconut oil into your Dry brushing & Moisturising routine everyday. Warm up a block of coconut oil in your hands and rub it over your body like a bar of soap.  You can also warm the oil in your hands and press on to your face for a radiant glow the night before a special event.
